our design process

  • Following our complimentary discovery call, we arrange a time to come to your home to conduct the initial consultation. The initial consultation typically takes 1-2 hours and the objective of this meeting is to gain a thorough understanding of your scope of work, budget and timeframe. Following this meeting, you will be presented with a fee proposal detailing your scope and the design fees to deliver it. From here, we sign a contract and begin onboarding your project into our workflow.

  • We kick-off your project with a briefing meeting. This is where we dive into the nitty-gritty details and seek to understand your aesthetic and functional requirements for your home. Armed with this information, we then go away and develop a concept presentation which will include moodboards, inspiration images, proposed colour palettes, floorplans and schematic drawings of any joinery requirements. This presentation is delivered to you at your home where we take on all your feedback so the concept can be further refined.

  • Following the concept presentation, we will organise a day to meet with all relevant trades on-site to discuss feasibility, timelines, and cost. The budget forecast will then be updated, allowing us to make informed selections at the design development stage.

  • At the design development stage we confirm the final selection of furniture, lighting, paint colours, custom fabrics and decorative elements. This is delivered in a comprehensive presentation at your home, where you will also get to touch and feel the different materials and see how they interact in your space. 3D- rendered images are an optional inclusion at this stage and are designed to help you visualise the completed the design.

  • Upon approval of design development, we then place orders for your pieces! We manage all orders, from deposit to delivery and maintain a detailed schedule that keeps track of the status of each piece. You will also gain access to exclusive trade discounts.

  • Design management involves on-site coordination with trades to ensure design fidelity. If necessary, we can also supervise deliveries and installation to guarantee perfect execution. Upon project completion, we love to document the project and will arrange a time for a professional photoshoot.
